2024 KIDS HORSE EVENT NOMINATION

THERE ARE TWO STEPS TO NOMINATE:
Please make sure you complete both steps for each rider!

1.  To participate in any horse event you will need to fill out the below waiver form from National Rodeo Council Australia and pay the fee for insurance $13.95/rider

 2.  Fill out nomination form below and pay the nomination fee plus insurance fee.

**Note: You will have to complete a nomination form for every horse each rider is nominating on.

  •  All riders compete at their own risk.

  •  Motorbikes - This is a National Rodeo Council of Australia (NRCA) sanctioned event. All National Rodeo Council of Australia (NRCA) rules will apply, and you must complete the appropriate waiver (NRCA), insurance and nomination requirements BEFORE competing.

  • Horses - This is a National Rodeo Council of Australia (NRCA) sanctioned event. All National Rodeo Council of Australia (NRCA) rules will apply, and you must complete the appropriate waiver (NRCA), insurance and nomination requirements BEFORE competing.

  • Regulation level Safety helmets are compulsory in all motorbike and horse events. Helmets are to be done up at all times when competing otherwise rider will be disqualified.

  • Horse Riding Helmets must comply with relevant Australian Standard ASNZS3838/03

  • Motorbike Helmets must comply with relevant Australian Motorcycle Helmet Standard AS/NZS 1698:2006

  • Long sleeve shirts, full length jeans/pants and boots that cover the ankles are compulsory for all events.

  • All bike riders to attend RIDERS BRIEFING and scrutineering on the morning before competition. All competing bikes are to be unloaded and remain in the marshalling area for the duration of the event. Any motorbike and rider entering horse track area will forfeit nomination and will be disqualified from entering all events for the rest of the Sports Event.

  • Age groups are determined by AGE ON THE DAY of the event. “Open” events are for competitors 18 years or older. Children 17 years and under may compete in their age events only. All bike riders are restricted to one bike per event.

  • No 4 WHEELERS PERMITTED in motorbike events.

  • Riders must not ride under the influence of alcohol or prohibited drugs. No alcohol to be brought onto grounds.

  • The Committee reserves the right to refuse any nomination and to alter the program in any way.

  • The Hungerford Sports Association Inc and the members of its committee, its servants and agents shall not be liable or responsible to any person whether an adult or a minor for any injury, loss and or damage of whatsoever nature arising from any cause whatsoever, and this shall exclude all liability without exemption and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, shall not be liable in negligence for breach of contract or as occupier or otherwise howsoever.

  •  The Committee’s decision is final.

I hereby agree with the persons, organisers and bodies corporate whose name is Hungerford Sports Association Inc. including its members and volunteers (hereafter collectively called “the organiser”) that I am by this agreement entitled to nominate to participate in the horse/motorcycle meeting Hungerford Sports Horse and Motorbike Gymkhana and Enduro (hereafter called the meeting) at the venue Ross Wallace Sports Grounds Hungerford (hereafter called the venue) on the terms and conditions as follows:

 

​2. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISKS, DANGERS AND OBLIGATIONS

Whilst hazard reduction and the health and safety of all concerned is considered paramount by organising staff and volunteers I ACKNOWLEDGE that horse/motorcycle sport is dangerous and that by engaging in the sport, participating in the meeting and attending the venue, I take on and am exposed to certain risks and dangers including:

 

a) That I may suffer physical or mental injury and may be killed.

b) That my machinery, livestock or other property may be injured, damaged or lost or destroyed.

c) That other competitors may ride dangerously or unskilfully.

d) That track or event conditions may be hazardous and may vary without warning or predictability.

e) That organisers, officials, land owners/track operators and any agents or representatives of those in charge of meetings are frequently obliged to make decisions under pressure of time and/or events

f) That any policy of insurance of or in respect of my life or physical or mental health may be voided.

g) That no facilities for treatment or transport of myself or my livestock may be available should either be injured.

h) That I have an obligation to myself and to others to compete safely and within the rules of competition.

 

INDEMNITY GIVEN TO ORGANISERS

3. In consideration of the acceptance of me as an entrant in the race meeting, I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY the organisers and each of them in the following manner: -

a) That I participate in the meeting at my sole risk and responsibility.

b) That I will at all times keep the organisers indemnified against all actions, proceedings, claims, demands, costs and expenses whatsoever arising directly or indirectly out of my participation in any event and my presence at the venue during the days on which competitions are held.

c) That I indemnify and hold harmless the organizer against any actions or claims which may be made by me or on my behalf or by other parties arising out of my death or any injury, loss or damage caused by me or to my livestock/machinery howsoever caused.

d) That I accept the venue as is with all or any defects whether hidden or exposed.

I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently prepared and trained to participate in the activities and events, and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional.

 

 

I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my participation in these activities or events.

 

 

I hereby consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident and/or illness during the activity or event and agree to meet all costs associated with such action.

 

I understand at this event or related activities, I may be photographed.

 

 

I agree to allow my photo, video or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the event holders, organisers or sponsors.

FOR A PARENT/GUARDIAN NOMINATING A MINOR (under 18 years of age):

In submitting this nomination, I confirm that I am the parent or natural guardian and hereby represent that I am in fact acting in such a capacity, have consented to my child or ward participating in these activities or events, and have agreed individually and on behalf of the child or ward, to the terms and conditions as set out above.
